The Qualifications We Seek

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce, with an Accounting major
• Completed CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• 4-5+ years of end-to-end external audit experience within a reputable audit firm, including exposure across multiple industries; Big Four experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting Standards, Auditing Standards, and related regulatory requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate audit findings
• High attention to detail, with proven ability to deliver accurate, well-documented work
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within audit teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sound decision-making capabilities

Desirable

• Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing junior audit staff

Your Daily Tasks

• Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues
• Review financial statements for compliance with Accounting Standards and prepare reports and management opinions
• Perform reviews of audit work and summarize key engagement areas for the partner
• Conduct simultaneous audit engagements with multiple team members
• Manage and coordinate audit teams, ensuring training, mentoring, and methodology compliance
• Monitor staffing requirements and resource planning
• Assist partners and managers with business development and marketing initiatives
