Job Summary:

The Head of Financial Reporting will lead the financial reporting team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory requirements. This role is crucial for maintaining financial transparency and supporting strategic decision-making within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:

  2. Prepare monthly MRT, quarterly conso, and annual financial statements.

  3. Prepare/oversee the preparation of weekly opscom report
  4. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.

  5. Coordinate and manage the external and internal audit process, including liaising with auditors and addressing audit queries.

  6. Team Leadership:

  7. Lead, mentor, and develop the financial reporting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  8. Manage team workload, ensuring efficient and effective completion of tasks.

  9. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  10. Process Improvement:

  11. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.

  12. Ensure the integrity of the financial reporting system, including maintaining internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures.

  13. Stakeholder Management:

  14. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and insights.

  15. Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  16. Support the CFO and senior management with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
  17. Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Head of Finance to support the department's goals and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial reporting, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  3. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  4. Experience in managing external audits and regulatory reporting.
  5. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
