1. Platform Design and Implementation:

● Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure RHOCP clusters across

various environments (e.g., on-premises, hybrid-cloud, or public cloud like AWS, Azure,

GCP).

● Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or

Red Hat's automation tools for automated provisioning and configuration management of

the OpenShift platform and its underlying infrastructure.

● Lead the planning and execution of RHOCP platform upgrades, patches, and version

lifecycle management with minimal service disruption.

2. Automation and CI/CD:

● Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton) specifically tailored

for containerized applications on OpenShift.

● Engineer repeatable, automated workflows for common platform operations, security

hardening, and resource provisioning to enable a self-service model for development

teams.

● Implement GitOps practices for declarative cluster and application configuration

management.

3. Monitoring, Observability, and Troubleshooting:

● Configure and maintain platform monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus,

Grafana, OpenShift Logging/EFK stack) to ensure platform health, performance, and

stability.

● Provide advanced, expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex

platform and infrastructure issues, collaborating closely with Site Reliability Engineering

(SRE) and development teams.

4. Security and Compliance:

● Implement and enforce security best practices for the OpenShift platform, including

network segmentation, secrets management (Vault), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC),

and security policy automation (e.g., leveraging OpenShift Policy Controller/Gatekeeper).

● Ensure platform compliance with internal security standards and external regulatory

requirements.

Technical Expertise:

● Deep, hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP),

including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting (OCP 3.x/4.x/5.x).

● Expertise in Kubernetes core concepts and components (Pods, Deployments, Services,

Ingress/Routes, Operators).

● Strong proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.

● Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

● Solid understanding of Containerization technologies like Docker or Podman.

● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid cloud concepts.

● Proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus,

Grafana, ELK/EFK).

● Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and methodologies.

● Strong understanding of container networking (OVN, OVS, Multus) and storage

technologies (Ceph/OpenShift Data Foundation, Persistent Volumes, LVM,

SAN/NAS).
