About the Role

As an API Developer, you will design, develop, and deploy APIs and microservices used across mission-critical applications. You'll work across the full SDLC—building, testing, documenting, and supporting integrations in an API gateway environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop RESTful and SOAP APIs using and NestJS.
  • Build microservices for custom API functions (e.g., encryption, database connectivity).
  • Implement API security: rate limiting, JWT, OAuth, API keys.
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases for integration requirements.
  • Use Docker, GitLab, Postman, Linux CLI, and JIRA in daily development.
  • Support production issues as L3.
  • Write clear API documentation and conduct knowledge transfers.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborative engineering work.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum
    2 years of experience in API development in a banking industry
  • Hands-on experience with
    IBM API Connect
    .
  • Strong experience with

    and
    NestJS
    .
  • Experience developing
    REST and SOAP web services
    .
  • Knowledge of
    SQL/NoSQL database queries
    .
  • Experience implementing
    API security
    standards.
  • Familiarity with
    Docker, GitLab, Postman, Linux CLI, JIRA

  • Able to support L3 production incidents.

Good-to-Have

  • Familiarity with
    Red Hat OpenShift on AWS
    and other AWS products.
  • Understanding of
    CI/CD pipelines
    and containerized workflows.
