Senior Manager

Role Overview

The Senior Manager leads and oversees the end-to-end delivery of tax accounting engagements, ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and profitability. This strategic role manages client portfolios, optimizes service delivery systems, drives financial performance, and fosters long-term client relationships through effective governance and advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Plan resource requirements for onboarding new client and internal teams
• Oversee service delivery systems to ensure smooth execution of client engagements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operating and delivery systems
• Monitor project completion, billing, and collections to ensure revenue targets are met
• Align unit practices with company values, strategic plans, and improvement goals
• Facilitate internal and client-facing meetings to review engagement performance
• Evaluate team productivity and optimize client loading
• Review use of tax technologies and recommend enhancements

People Management

• Supervise workplans and outputs to ensure service quality
• Monitor team performance against engagement objectives and SLAs
• Lead talent development programs and mentor junior managers
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify growth opportunities
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes

Client & Account Management

• Communicate project updates to client boards and management committees
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
• Monitor client satisfaction and resolve issues proactively
• Lead profitability and CSAT evaluations for assigned accounts
• Present engagement results at client executive meetings

Engagement Management

• Meet with prospective clients and develop engagement roadmaps
• Prepare bills of activities, proposals, and service scopes
• Address client feedback and finalize engagement contracts
• Lead onboarding of clients and internal teams for new projects

Financial Management

• Evaluate business unit performance against financial targets
• Review account profitability and team utilization reports
• Manage annual revenue portfolio aligned with approved budgets

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to tax regulations, internal controls, and ethical standards
• Maintain confidentiality and data privacy across client engagements
• Recommend improvements to service delivery practices and procedures

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
• CPA preferred but not required.

Experience

• 10–15 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Taxation and Accounting expertise
• Client Engagement/Management is a must.
• Consulting Industry experience is a must.
• Financial Management (including budget, revenue and expenses handling)
