As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the role plays a central role in delivering uniform, rule-driven services to the region. Specifically, this involves overseeing the entire Intercompany Reconciliation process. The A2R Analyst I takes an attentive approach, collaborating with Regional Finance and various functional areas within SSC to address issues and concerns promptly and in alignment with specified deadlines.Finance SSC > Fixed Assets & Global Intercompany > ICO ReconResponsibilitiesPerform detailed reconciliation of intercompany accounts between different entities or departments within the organizationInvestigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in intercompany accounts, collaborating with relevant teams or subsidiaries to address any outstanding issuesRecord and document intercompany transactions, including sales, purchases, and loans, in compliance with accounting standards and company policiesContribute to the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all intercompany transactions are accurately recordedPrepare intercompany financial statements, including balance sheets and income statementsAssist in the consolidation of financial data from various entities for group reportingEnsure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls pertaining to intercompany transactionsMaintain accurate and organized records of intercompany agreements and transactionsContinuously evaluate and improve intercompany reconciliation processes and proceduresIdentify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliation activitiesAssist internal and external auditors in reviewing intercompany transactions and reconciliationsProvide necessary documentation and explanations during auditsCommunicate regularly with intercompany partners and stakeholders to ensure transparency and resolve issues.Collaborate with other finance and accounting teams for seamless financial operationsAssist in documenting intercompany accounting processes and provide training to team members as neededProvide guidance and support to junior associates in resolving issuesAssist in the review of SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) documentations carried out by junior associates, ensuring timely uploads as per deadlinesInvestigate, communicate, and resolve issues related to controls, with a focus on preventing recurring problems and escalating identified risksTake action to address findings raised by RF (Regional Finance) and other SSC (Shared Service Center) functional teams, including follow-up on incomplete documentation and escalationsAssist in documenting VPP (Vestas Process Platform) maps, process changes, and maintain up-to-date SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)Consolidate and contribute to the documentation of country-specific variations in processes that have not yet migrated to SSCEnsure the fulfillment of OPIs (Operational Performance Indicators), SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) according to established targets and assist in monitoring themFacilitate comprehensive cross-training, including variations specific to local operationsParticipate in team engagement activities and lead initiatives within each pillar, ensuring timely delivery aligned with team objectivesProvide input and support in assessing FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) capacity, ensuring the completion of FTE capacity trackers on a quarterly basisCollaborate with the Senior Analyst in documenting changes and updates, ensuring that SOP reflects these changesFacilitate the creation of quick wins and consolidate necessary documentation to streamline processes effectivelyQualificationsA candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a related field in accountingA minimum of two (2) years of experience in Intercompany accountingFamiliarity with SAP and proficiency in MS Office toolsProblem-solving abilities, effective decision-making skills, and the capability to deliver presentationsProficient in English communication, including written and oral formsA willingness to work on holidays as needed and to adapt to assigned shiftsTask-oriented and capable of working with minimal supervisionExhibits professionalism and can easily adapt to various personalities and work environmentsCompetenciesFlexible and willing to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as may be assignedWith professional behavior and attitude, and can blend well with different kinds of personalitiesComprehensive understanding of accounting principles and standards, especially related to intercompany transactions and consolidationAbility to meticulously review and analyze financial data, spotting even minor discrepanciesProficiency in data analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential issuesEffective written and verbal communication to interact with intercompany counterparts and colleaguesCapability to investigate and resolve complex intercompany reconciliation issues and disputesAbility to work collaboratively with other departments and teams to complete reconciliation objectivesFamiliarity with financial software and tools, including accounting software (e.g., SAP) and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel)A mindset for process optimization
