Job Summary:

The Mixer and Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring mixing and processing equipment to ensure the production of high-quality food products in accordance with company standards, production schedules, and food safety regulations. This position ensures proper weighing, batching, mixing, and operation of assigned machines to maintain consistent product quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Mixing Operations:

  • Prepare and mix raw materials according to the specified formulation and production schedule.
  • Ensure accurate measurement and weighing of ingredients.
  • Monitor mixing time, speed, and temperature to achieve desired product consistency.
  • Check and verify batch codes, lot numbers, and ingredient accuracy before processing.

2. Machine Operation:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery such as mixers, extruders, fryers, or packaging machines (depending on process line).
  • Perform start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make minor adjustments to maintain product quality and efficiency.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the maintenance or production supervisor immediately.

3. Quality and Safety Compliance:

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and HACCP standards at all times.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks during production.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of machines, utensils, and work area after every batch or shift.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with company safety rules.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Record production data such as batch numbers, quantity, temperature, and time in the production log sheet.
  • Coordinate with QA for in-process testing and product release.
  • Assist in inventory control by monitoring raw materials usage and reporting shortages.

5. Teamwork and Continuous Improvement:

  • Work collaboratively with co-workers and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and operational efficiency.
  • Suggest process improvements and participate in troubleshooting activities.
