Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation Assistance:
  • Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks, such as measuring ingredients and following recipes.
  • Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients.
  • Kitchen Cleaning and Organization:
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Washing dishes and pots and pans.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene:
  • Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Following proper food handling procedures.
  • Ensuring food is stored safely to prevent spoilage.
  • Other Duties:
  • Assisting with receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Removing trash and cleaning garbage containers.
  • Running errands as needed.
  • Communicating kitchen needs to supervisors.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Basic Food Preparation Skills: Ability to wash, peel, chop, and prepare basic ingredients.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation Knowledge: Understanding of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to organize the kitchen and manage time effectively.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry heavy items.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
