Finance Analyst

We're looking for a Finance Analyst for a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mandaluyong.

The Finance Analyst will support the Finance Office and Finance Specialists in fulfilling the organization's finance oversight responsibilities. The role focuses on reviewing financial processes, validating financial records, ensuring accuracy in Statutory and Management reporting, and supporting continuous improvements in financial operations. The Finance Analyst will contribute to maintaining strong internal controls, promoting compliance, and enhancing the overall reliability of financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Oversight & Review

• Assist in monitoring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Analyze financial data to ensure alignment between system records and supporting schedules.
• Review financial transactions, journal entries, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify inconsistencies, errors, or process gaps and escalate issues as needed.
• Support the preparation, verification, and consolidation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).

2. Statutory Consolidation & Management Reporting

• Assist the Finance Officer and Specialist in Statutory Consolidation and Management Reports by reviewing, reconciling, and validating the completeness and accuracy of:

• Inter-company transactions and inter-company variances

• Trial balances of assigned entities

• Eliminations

• Investments (including capitalization, conversions, mergers, acquisitions)

• New entity setups and ownership structures

• Submit validated consolidated reports (e.g., eliminations, reinstatement, adoption of new standards, investment schedules, offsetting, cash flow, etc.).

• Provide comprehensive explanations and variance analyses per sub-holdco, covering both Statutory and Management perspectives.

3. Financial Recording & Reporting

• Support the preparation, verification, and consolidation of financial reports.
• Ensure accurate alignment between system records, supporting schedules, and reported figures.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date financial records in relevant systems.

4. Process Review & Improvement

• Participate in evaluating existing finance processes and workflows.
• Recommend improvements to strengthen controls, reduce risks, and enhance efficiency.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of approved process enhancements.

5. Coordination & Support

• Collaborate with Finance/Accounting teams, and other departments to resolve data or process issues.
• Support the Finance Office with audit requirements, documentation, compliance, and reporting.
• Assist in special projects, financial analysis, and other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.

6. Data Analysis & Insights

• Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers of financial performance.
• Prepare analytical reports to support decision-making and management reviews.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 6 months–1 year of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or related roles (adjustable as needed).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, consolidation processes, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, financial systems, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php28,000.00 per month
