
Insurance Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Finds prospect customers for non-motor (e.g., Travel, General Accident, Fire, Marine Cargo, Liability, Bonds, etc.) insurance by gathering customer information, both existing and new; builds own account portfolio
- Serves as point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle (pre-sales to after-sales) to fulfill customer requirements; collaborates with the team and insurance partners
- Executes the KYC (Know Your Customer) process for customers in own account portfolio in compliance with legal/regulatory requirements
- Generates positive customer experiences with the goal of generating multi-product and repeat customers
- Contributes to building the team's knowledge base of markets, products, and customer profiles
- Provides data on own account portfolio for aggregation to management reports
- Assists the accounting team with monitoring accounts receivable from customers within the account portfolio
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a bachelor's degree holder in any program
- Preferably with at least three (3) years of insurance sales experience. Candidates with experience in sales and with customer-handling skills in any field are welcome to apply.
- Fresh graduates who can demonstrate sales and customer-handling skills are welcome to apply.
- Willing to grow career and build expertise in the financial services space, particularly in insurance services (training, coaching, and mentoring to be provided)
- With functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Gmail, and social media platforms
- Willing to work onsite, meet customers in their places of work, and participate in trade fairs and similar sales and marketing events
- Able to communicate well with external and internal stakeholders both orally and in writing
- Must be passionate about customers – able to build relationships with customers of diverse profiles, able to handle customer concerns professionally
- Able to structure and deliver sales presentations with minimal supervision; able to collaborate with internal stakeholders for more complex product offerings
