
Quantity Surveyor

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, material
management, and subcontractor billing throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves
accurate quantity takeoffs, monitoring project resources, and ensuring that all material
requests align with the contract's scope of work. Additionally, the Quantity Surveyor will
oversee the preparation of client billings and evaluate subcontractor invoices to ensure project
budgets and timelines are maintained effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Takeoff
Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimations based on approved project
drawings and specifications.- Verify the accuracy of quantity estimates to prevent cost overruns and delays.
Prepare Weekly Reports
Develop and submit weekly reports for:
- Material Monitoring: Compare Bill of Materials (BOM) vs. Requested/Delivered
materials on-site. - Equipment Monitoring: Track and compare Budgeted Equipment Hours vs.
Actual Equipment Hours Consumed to ensure efficient use of equipment. - Manpower Monitoring: Assess manpower deployment and productivity against
project targets. - Material Requisition Review
- Material Monitoring: Compare Bill of Materials (BOM) vs. Requested/Delivered
Evaluate material requisition requests to ensure compliance with the approved scope of work
- Identify requests that fall outside the contract scope and recommend for Variation
Order (VO) approval, if applicable. Subcontractor Billing Evaluation
Review and validate subcontractor billings, ensuring accuracy of work quantities,
adherence to contract terms, and compliance with project timelines.- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to avoid overpayments
Preparation of Client Billing
Prepare and submit accurate and timely client billings, ensuring all works are accounted
for in compliance with project agreements.- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely
payment processing.
Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer
- At least two (2) years experience required
Knowledgable in the following:
Vertical
- Horizontal Structures
- Project Scheduling (S-Curve, PERT/CPM)
- Estimates Preparation
- Quantity Take Off
- Open to work on changing shifts while on project assignment with possible overtime
- Travel (Domestic) and field work required; all travel expenses shouldered by the company
- Willing to be assigned in Pampanga and Manila
