About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled FF&E Spec Writer to assist with documentation for hospitality design projects. This role will focus on furniture drawings, FF&E layouts, product specifications, and brand standards documentation following US and Canadian standards.

Hospitality project experience is required.

Experience with millwork drawings is a strong plus, as FF&E detailing often overlaps with custom joinery and built-in furniture documentation.

This is a full-time, remote position requiring availability during Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update FF&E drawings, layouts, and documentation for hospitality projects.
  • Develop and maintain specification sheets and product standards for furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Create millwork or joinery details for custom furnishings when required.
  • Ensure all FF&E selections comply with hospitality brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the design and procurement teams to review, revise, and finalize project documentation.
  • Manage updates across drawings, spreadsheets, and specification documents.
  • Ensure all documentation follows US and Canadian standards.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in FF&E documentation and specification writing for hospitality projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and InDesign (Excel proficiency required).
  • Familiarity with FF&E specification software such as SpecSources or DesignSpec (a plus).
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently across multiple project phases.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be available for full-time, remote work during PST hours.
  • Experience preparing millwork drawings for hospitality projects.
  • Previous exposure to international hospitality brands or US-based designers
