Warehouse Checker

We are seeking a meticulous and reliable Warehouse Checker to join our logistics team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy of all outgoing finished goods shipments. The Warehouse Checker will be the final point of inspection, verifying that the quantities and types of products loaded onto transport trucks precisely match the official packing lists and delivery documents before the truck departs.

• Shipment Verification:

• Conduct thorough and accurate checks of finished goods being loaded onto delivery trucks.

• Compare physical quantities and product types (SKUs) against the corresponding pick tickets, packing lists, and shipping manifest.
• Ensure all items are correct according to the delivery schedule and customer order.

• Quality Control:

• Inspect the condition of packages and products for any damage, mislabeling, or signs of tampering prior to loading.

• Reject and report any discrepancies or damaged items to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately for resolution.

• Documentation and Reporting:

• Accurately record and sign off on all loaded shipments, confirming correctness.

• Maintain organized and complete records of all checked shipments, including any documented variances.
• Generate and submit daily loading reports to management detailing the number of shipments verified and any issues encountered.

• Coordination and Safety:

• Work closely with loaders, forklift operators, and truck drivers to ensure a smooth and timely loading process.

• Adhere to all company safety protocols and warehouse procedures, especially during the loading and checking process.
• Maintain a clean and organized checking station and loading area.

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role (1+ years preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and compare shipping documents (e.g., invoices, manifests, packing slips).

Preferred:

• Experience with inventory management systems (WMS) or basic data entry.
• Familiarity with various finished goods packaging and handling procedures.
