Job Title: Back-End Software Engineer (Java Developer)

2x a week onsite in Makati

Role Overview

Seeking an ambitious and skilled Java Developer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on building world-class digital applications for enterprise clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes pride in delivering exceptional solutions, and wants to influence technical direction in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead greenfield development of cloud-based digital platforms used by consumers and enterprise clients
  • Architect, design, and code scalable backend systems
  • Collaborate with Product and UX teams to refine requirements and shape technology roadmaps
  • Implement and enhance agile development practices (CI/CD, TDD)
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and frameworks
  • Drive innovation in data-driven, dynamic retailing solutions

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, RESTful services, and MongoDB
  • BS Degree in IT or related
  • Experience in Performance Testing
  • Proven track record in designing and building mission-critical, high-performance web applications
  • Strong delivery mindset focused on building solutions, not just technology
  • Experience with systems such as Payment Integrations, Reservation Platforms, Customer Profile Management, Content Management Systems, Data Collection, Storage, and Processing Frameworks.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and web security principles
  • Exposure to performance testing frameworks and tools
