Join our Global Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Manila as a Junior Security Analyst and play a vital role on the front line of cyber defence. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced security professionals to safeguard critical systems, uphold the integrity of security controls, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our security posture. You'll gain hands-on experience in threat hunting, vulnerability detection, and containment strategies, applying both Blue and Red Team methodologies. What will you do as a Junior Security Analyst?

Reporting to the Security Operations Lead, you will help defend our network infrastructure against cyber threats.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing security logs and performing proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate abnormal activity, ensuring continuous protection of assets.
• Investigating and resolving alerts and tickets, following incident response playbooks and escalating complex cases appropriately.
• Working with senior analysts and other teams as a Level 1 support to manage major security events and maintain accurate, actionable incident records.
• Contributing to audits, risk assessments, and updates to procedures to strengthen security operations and resilience.
• Staying current with evolving cybersecurity threats, tools, and practices to enhance individual and team performance.

What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential:

• Recent graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field, with a genuine interest in cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with common security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint security, data encryption, network access control, email security, penetration testing, WAF, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
• Clear communicator with the ability to explain technical information to different audiences and produce accurate reports and documentation.
• Motivated, organised, and dependable under pressure; able to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 operations.

Desirable:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., the OSI model).
• Eager to build expertise in security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS) and pursue professional certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CEH.
