Job Summary:

Junior SOC (Security Operations Center) or SOC analyst tier 1 will monitoring and analyzing security threats to protect an organization's IT infrastructure. Also SOC Analyst I will assist IT Security Specialist for auditing, process improvement and security reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate security threats in real-time. Investigate anomalies and suspicious activities to determine their cause and take preventive measures.
  • Continuously monitor the organization's IT infrastructure, including security systems, applications, and networks, to detect irregularities indicating potential breaches or attacks.
  • Document security incidents, investigations, and outcomes. Prepare reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in security awareness training programs to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices.
  • Respond to security incidents by following established procedures to contain, eradicate, and recover from attacks. Collaborate with other team members and departments to manage incidents effectively
  • Provides inputs on security technology and process improvements.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and its related tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Good working knowledge on various security technologies.
  • Solid understanding of application security frameworks.
  • Ability to monitor systems and detect subtle anomalies.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges, as well as the ability to conduct independent research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report incidents and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate and respond to security incidents.
