Cost Accounting Officer

The Cost Accounting Officer will be in-charge in providing cost of sales reports as well as supporting the whole cost accounting related activities. He / She will be responsible for the preparation of reconciliations between SL and GL and other reconciliations required to ensure accurate cost and inventory accounting and valuation of the company and its affiliates.

Cost Accounting Function

  • Collaborate closely with production teams to track and analyze the use of raw materials and packaging materials on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Perform detailed variance analysis (Actual vs. Standard) to ensure cost-efficiency and accurate financial reporting.

  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end physical inventory counts to maintain precise inventory records.

  • Reconcile inventory records, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate reporting.

  • Support the supervisor with any additional reports or financial analysis as needed, contributing to overall company success.

  • Checks and reviews monthly Management Reporting Package (MRP).

  • Responsible in reviewing, analyzing the manufacturing variances such as work order issues - material and work order, labor variances, scrap and rework.

  • Responsible for reviewing variances prior closing of work orders.

  • Review of Labor utilization and productivity

  • Review of Intercompany margin and highlight issues if any.

  • Provide Intercompany pricing.

  • Prepare weekly manufacturing metrics.

  • Review of Purchase Price Variances and discuss this with Purchasing.

  • Review of Freight cost and Logistics savings

  • Collaborate with leaders on Costing issues and help resolve this.

  • Other reporting duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS in Accountancy

  • Certified Public Accountant is advantage but not required.

  • With at least 1 year to 3 years of experience in the related field

  • With knowledge in preparation of financial statements and cost of sales.

  • Must have experience in a manufacturing set-up.

  • Knowledge in Oracle / SAP system
