Job Summary:

The Cadd, BIM SPECIALIST is responsible for creating and maintaining BIM models, ensuring adherence to BIM standards, supporting coordination processes, and assisting with project documentation. This role plays a key part in digital delivery, offering the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines and project types in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Model Development & Management

  • Create, develop, and maintain accurate 3D BIM models across various design stages (concept to construction).

  • Model architectural, structural, MEP, or infrastructure elements in compliance with project requirements and standards.

  • Ensure models are data-rich and suitable for quantity take-offs, coordination, and construction sequencing.

Standards & Compliance

  • Apply and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and naming conventions (e.g., ISO 19650, project BIM guidelines).

  • Maintain quality control by auditing models regularly for geometry, data accuracy, and file health.

  • Prepare and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Model Element Tables (LOD/LOI matrices).

Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate models across disciplines, detecting and resolving clashes using tools like Navisworks or Solibri.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design issues and align modeling efforts.

  • Participate in coordination meetings and document model-related decisions and action points.

Technical Support & Optimization

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting related to BIM tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, etc.).

  • Optimize models for performance, reducing file sizes and improving usability for large projects.

Documentation & Deliverables

  • Generate construction documents, schedules, and drawings directly from BIM models.

  • Export and manage deliverables in various formats (DWG, IFC, PDFs, etc.), ensuring alignment with client requirements.

  • Support digital fabrication and construction workflows with accurate model data (e.g., shop drawings, as-builts).

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Support the onboarding and upskilling of team members in BIM workflows and software.

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of BIM content libraries, templates, and workflows.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to improve BIM processes.

Project Integration

  • Assist in integrating BIM with other digital tools, such as project management platforms (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore) if needed.

  • Link model data to scheduling, costing, or facility management applications as required.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modeling for architectural, structural, or MEPF projects (depending on level).

  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit (Architecture / Structure / MEP) and other BIM-related tools (e.g., Navisworks, AutoCAD, Recap).

  • Familiarity with BIM standards, file naming conventions, and collaboration workflows.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred (Optional):

  • Experience with point cloud data, laser scanning, or reality capture workflows.

  • Knowledge of BIM 360 / ACC, Dynamo, or other automation tools.

  • Understanding of construction processes and project documentation.

  • BIM Certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is an advantage.
