Core Responsibilities

● Cluster Management: Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and manage the lifecycle of

RHOCP/Kubernetes clusters across various environments (on-premises, cloud, hybrid).

● High Availability and DR: Ensure the platform's stability, high availability, and

performance, including implementing and maintaining disaster recovery strategies and

regular backups.

● Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage cluster-wide monitoring, logging, and

alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack or RHOCP built-in tools)

to proactively identify and resolve issues.

● Security and Access Control: Configure and manage security components, including

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), network policies, security context constraints

(SCCs), TLS/SSL, and integration with corporate authentication services (LDAP/OAuth).

● Networking and Storage: Administer OpenShift/Kubernetes networking (CNI) and

storage solutions (CSI), including persistent volumes, persistent volume claims, and

integration with storage providers like OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF).

● DevOps and CI/CD Support: Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to

streamline application deployments, integrate RHOCP into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using

Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD/GitOps), and troubleshoot deployment issues.

● Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools (Ansible, Terraform,

Helm) for infrastructure and application deployment, configuration, and cluster operations.

● Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to the cluster, nodes,

container runtime, applications, networking, and platform components.

● Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for cluster setup,

configuration, processes, and operational procedures.

● Resource Optimization: Monitor and optimize cluster resource utilization, manage

quotas and limits, and implement autoscaling to ensure efficient and cost-effective

operation.
