Duration: 6-month contract

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

Senior DevOps Engineers

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that powers SAP business applications.

Work closely with CloudOps teams to automate manual recurring tasks, streamline deployment processes, improve system reliability, and ensure scalability across multiple cloud environments.

1. Analyze business requirements to implement scalable, forward-thinking technical solutions for Infrastructure automation

2. Take ownership of production support by proactively troubleshooting issues and resolving incidents

3. Build and continuously enhance automation frameworks to bootstrap virtual machines at the operating system level, and configure software installed therein

4. Conduct thorough code reviews, integration testing, and documentation to uphold the reliability and maintainability of deployments

Role Requirements:

1. 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in designing, building, and supporting infrastructure automation with Kubernetes on hyper-scalers (AWS or GCP+).

2. A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a lack of fear of learning something new. You should be open to learn from others and willing to help mentor and teach

3. Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to support automation implemented by the team

4. Proficiency with Python and shell scripting

5. Understanding of enterprise automation, and modern software engineering practices and hands-on experience with:

6. Ansible configuration management tool, including writing custom modules for Ansible

7. Linux (RHEL, SUSE, etc.) at an administrative level, and willingness to work with Windows

8. High availability configurations, including autoscaling

9. Infrastructure Orchestration Tools such as Terraform

10. Container Orchestration Technologies such as Kubernetes

11. Integrations with monitoring systems such as Dynatrace or ELK stack

12. Experience in networking, virtualization, and serverless technologies

13. Experience with GitOps pipelines for deploying cloud infrastructure with version control

14. Knowledge of application security concepts like encryption (at rest and in transit) and the use of certificates and secrets within an application.

15. Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

16. Excellent communication in English.
