Software Development Engineer (Android Developer)

Location: Manila, Philippines

Work Setup: Hybrid – 2x a week Onsite (RTO)

Position Type: Full-Time / Contract


About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (Android) to join our growing team in Manila. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient mobile solutions.

Your day-to-day will include analyzing requirements, developing new features, performing enhancements, and ensuring applications meet performance and quality standards. If you're passionate about mobile technologies and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Android development and guide the team toward best practices.
  • Collaborate with peers to design and implement robust mobile applications.
  • Lead and manage team deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely delivery.
  • Participate in architectural and technical discussions across multiple teams.
  • Provide solutions to complex problems and ensure seamless collaboration between teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing and mentoring sessions to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Track project progress and ensure alignment with defined goals and timelines.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Android Application Development.
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture and design patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.).
  • Proficient in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
  • Solid experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Android Application Development.
  • Based at our Manila office, with a hybrid setup (2x per week onsite).
