
Australian Bookkeeper

This is a remote position.
An amazing opportunity exists to work with an Australian company for an experienced, vibrant, and high-energy Australian Bookkeeper.Reporting to the Co-Founder and/or Finance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the accounts team with bookkeeping and accounts administration.
Selection Criteria
- AU/UK Bookkeeping experience is required
- Proficiency in Xero is required
- Experience in the following tools: Excel (Google Sheets), Asana, Slack, and Google Drive
- HubSpot familiarity is nice to have
- Good understanding of Australian or UK BAS and GST
- Experienced in budgets, bank reconciliations, AP/AR
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks with a focus on AU/UK compliance standards.
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and manage budgets, providing regular updates and variance analysis.
- Ensure accurate reporting of BAS and GST obligations in line with Australian (or UK) regulations.
- Maintain and update financial data using Xero accounting software.
- Use Excel/Google Sheets for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
- Collaborate with team members using Asana, Slack, and Google Drive for task tracking and file management.
- Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances
- Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Creditor invoices - approval, data entry & payment (Weekly)
- Reconcile and enter all income journals (Monthly)
- General Account EOM reconciliation.
- Ensuring all Invoices are entered, and account reconciliations have been completed (Monthly)
- Preparation of General Account Reports – Monthly (PNL) and Quarterly (GST)
- Assist in the preparation of the budget (Annually)Work Environment & Expectations
This role requires:
• Discipline and commitment to set working hours (strict shift times, not flexible)
• Use of time tracking software during work hours
• Active participation in team and client calls with your camera ON
• Consistent availability and responsiveness throughout your shift
• Treating this as a long-term, full-time job—not a side gig or freelance task
Payroll is processed bi-monthly.

Benefits 1. Monthly Salary: Php35,000
2. Salary will be paid on a bi-monthly basis on the 15th and 30th or 31st of each month
3. Work is not required on Philippine public holidays.
4. Probation: 6 months and after Probation
- 10 days annual leave credits
- 5 days of sick leave
6. 13th Month Pay after 30 days
7. Annual Salary Review
8. Laptop provided after 30 days
9. Permanent work-from-home role. You will have to use your own internet.
10. SHIFT TIMES: 9AM to 6PM Philippine time, Monday to Friday
