About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Mechanical Engineer to join our growing construction team at Gitamondoc-Gopaoco Construction Corporation. As a Site Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical installations and systems on our construction projects in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to work on-site and contribute to the successful delivery of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other building services
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  3. Collaborate with the project team, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to coordinate mechanical work
  4. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation
  5. Identify and resolve any mechanical-related issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
  6. Monitor and report on the progress of mechanical work, and provide updates to the project management team
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and practices

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with PRC license
  2. At least 1-2 years of experience as a Site Mechanical Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  3. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services
  4. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and other construction-related documents
  5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  6. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
  7. Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  8. Strong project management and organisational skills
