Full-Stack Developer

Role Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions for Send Payments. You are passionate about delivering high-quality software products that revolutionise the payments and financial industry. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you contribute your technical expertise to solve complex problems and drive innovation.

This is a role where you can flex your TypeScript skills in our event-driven microservices platform, with a strong focus on backend development across our modern cloud environment. You'll also take on full-stack work with our React front-ends, while getting hands-on with RESTful APIs, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps tooling, and cutting-edge AI tools to help shape and support our platform.

Responsibilities

•You provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, guiding team members and optimizing team performance by leading code reviews and sharing your expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

•Possess advanced expertise in programming languages such as JavaScript/Typescript.

•Advanced understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, continually seeking ways to enhance, share and apply your skills and knowledge.

•Expert in modern software development frameworks, tools, and libraries, enabling you to deliver efficient and robust solutions.

•Your knowledge of database systems and SQL empowers you to design and optimise data-driven applications.

•You've explored and embraced AI coding tools and workflows, and you're keen to keep building on that foundation and champion AI within the team.

•You use your experience gained to peer review, mentor and guide other team members.

•Advanced experience in version control systems and collaborative development environments, ensuring smooth collaboration with my fellow team members.

•You're comfortable working at the intersection of software and infrastructure, with experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code to help build scalable, reliable systems.

•Natural problem solver, relishing the challenge of analysing and debugging complex software issues with tenacity and resourcefulness.

•Exceptional communicator and collaborator, excelling in both written and verbal communication to drive effective teamwork and alignment.

•You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), demonstrating your commitment to excellence in the field.

•You've thrived in the fast-paced world of start-ups, scale-ups, or fintechs, and bring that energy and adaptability with you (desirable).

•You have a good understanding of application security practices and experience implementing them (desirable).
