About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Shadow Teacher to provide individualized support for a student with special learning needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with the student during school hours, offering academic, behavioral, and emotional assistance to help them integrate into the mainstream classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to the assigned student throughout the school day
  • Assist with academic tasks and help the student stay focused and engaged
  • Foster social interaction and inclusion with peers
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt lessons as needed
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior to parents and school staff

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with children with learning differences or behavioral needs
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
