Responsibilities:

  • Assist to Implement and oversee safety and pollution control measures in compliance with regulatory standards, including but not limited to MGB, PGENRO, DENR, and other relevant agencies.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, emphasizing best practices in mining and manufacturing operations.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies, including incident reports, environmental impact assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that safety and pollution control measures are integrated into daily operations.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a safety officer or pollution control officer in the mining and manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards set by MGB, PGENRO, DENR, and other relevant agencies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve safety and environmental goals.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

License/Certification:

  • PCO Certification (Preferred)
  • Safety Officer II or III (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Required)
