KWe're looking for
Associate
Platform Engineer
to join our Global Operations Command Center (GOCC) team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to
complete activities associated with providing the 24/7/365 operations required to maintain Manulife's infrastructure and IT services by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing events and incidents and completing service requests and BAU tasks.
Position Responsibilities

  • 1st Level support for issues related to infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components.
  • Performs system checks and platform component upgrades.
  • Assist Platform/DevOps/Application teams covering 24/7 monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
  • Uses from catalogue of scripts and solutions to solve known issues regarding configuring, provisioning, and maintaining software/platform.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years' experience in supporting applications in production environments running on Linux and Windows. Relevant experience in Incident, Change and Problem Management.
  • Knowledge in DevSecOps tools e.g., Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira.
  • Knowledge in AppSecOps tools e.g., Snyk, BurpSuite.
  • Relevant experience in Service Management Tools e.g., ServiceNow and xMatters.
  • Relevant experience from working in DevOps organizations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology
  • Work Arrangement: As part of a 24/7/365 operation, this is an Office based shift role.
  • Shift Schedule: Shift patterns are based on 8-hour shifts alternating between morning, mid and night shifts monthly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Knowledge in Observability and AIOps tools e.g., New Relic and Moogsoft.
