Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Overview:

We are seeking motivated and agile team players who are excited to develop new capabilities and continue to grow. In joining our small but talented team, you will have the opportunity to work remotely alongside our façade engineering director and provide consulting services for new and existing facades, both commercial and residential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft detailed designs and documentation for various façade systems, including glass façades and cladding types, adhering to project requirements and industry standards.
• Review drawings and maintain document control throughout the drafting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Design façades for high-rise buildings, considering structural integrity, aesthetic appeal, and functional requirements.
• Provide specialist input to resolve technical issues and ensure the quality of products and services delivered by the team.
• Review shop drawings and materials/method statements submitted by contractors, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
• Utilize computer-aided drafting programs, particularly AutoCAD or Revit, proficiently to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
• Apply knowledge of building design concepts, construction practices, and relevant Australian standards to drafting tasks.
• Collaborate with project managers, builders, and architects to facilitate communication and ensure the successful completion of façade projects.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Timely completion of drafting tasks, meeting project deadlines and milestones.
• Accuracy and precision of drafted designs, minimizing errors and revisions.
• Compliance with National Construction and Australian standard codes in drafted documentation.
• Effectiveness in resolving technical problems and providing specialist input to improve project outcomes.
• Quality of reviewed shop drawings and materials/method statements, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
• Proficiency in computer-aided drafting programs, demonstrated by efficient and high-quality drawings.
• Successful coordination with project stakeholders, fostering smooth communication and collaboration.
• Contribution to the development and growth of the drafting team, including sharing expertise and mentoring junior drafters.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a façade designer, with expertise in Capral/Alspec aluminum window systems, overseas window wall systems, and various cladding systems (e.g., CSR/James Hardie/Equitone/Fairview).
• Proficiency in reviewing drawings and maintaining document control processes.
• Experience in drafting façades for high-rise buildings, demonstrating understanding of structural considerations and building regulations.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD or Revit, with the ability to produce detailed and accurate drawings.
• Thorough knowledge of National Construction and Australian standard codes related to façade design and construction.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Experience with Aconex, Procore, or similar project management systems.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership potential, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
• Passion for continued personal development and growth in the field of structural and/or façade drafting.
• Experience in detailed façade shop drawings and liaising with project managers, builders, and architects to ensure project success.
