Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst will lead the strategic transition of our company's contract management lifecycle from a manual (analog) process to a digital, data-driven system.

This role requires a unique combination of legal acumen, project management discipline, and data science proficiency. Familiarity and/or expertise on Microsoft Power BI is an advantage. She/he will be responsible for defining, planning, and executing the digitization project, including overseeing data migration and eventual management of client contracts.

The Senior Data Analyst is expected to collaborate with IT, Business Development, Business Excellence, Operations, Procurement, HR, and Finance Departments on customization of the system to be used in the contract transition and integrating data analytics to enhance our contract management capabilities.

A.    General Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end project of digitizing the company's contract management lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Indonesia and Philippine teams' objectives.
2. Strategy and Planning: Develop a comprehensive project plan, including scope, objectives, timelines, budget, and resource allocation.
3. Legal Process Analysis: Conduct a thorough assessment of existing contract management processes, identify key pain points, and design a streamlined, automated, and efficient digital workflow.
4. Technology Implementation: Select, implement, and maintain contract lifecycle management (CLM) software, e-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign), and other relevant legal tech tools.
5. Data Migration and Governance: Manage the process of migrating all existing paper and electronic contracts into a new centralized digital repository. Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance during and after the migration.
6. Data Analytics and Insights: Apply data science techniques to extract, analyze, and visualize key information from contract data. This includes:
7. Using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to identify key clauses and obligations.
8. Conducting risk assessments based on historical data.
9. Providing business intelligence and data visualization to give stakeholders actionable insights into contract performance and trends.
10. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with relevant departments in the Philippine unit. Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication. Effectively engage and manage expectations with cross-functional teams, including Indonesia team and relevant departments in the Philippine unit.
11. Reporting: Provide regular, detailed status reports and performance updates to senior management, highlighting project milestones, risks, and budgetary adherence. Present findings and visualization tools to senior leadership in the Philippine unit.
12. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks. Monitor KPIs and project health using Power BI tools.
13. Represent the company in cases before the Department of Labor, NLRC and/or other government agencies and such other tasks that may be assigned by the Chief Legal Counsel.
14. Ad hoc task may include representing the company in proceedings before the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), and other pertinent government agencies

B.    Qualifications

1.     Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or related field. Graduate of law, underbar, newly admitted lawyer or recent Bar passer is an advantage.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in BI or analytics projects.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Law, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Engineering. A J.D. or master's degree in legal technology, Data Science, or a related field is a significant plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

2.     Professional Experience:

• Proven Project Management Experience: 3+ years of demonstrable experience managing complex projects, preferably in a legal or technology context.
• Data Science Skills: Proven experience with data analysis, data visualization, and data extraction from unstructured text. Expertise with tools like SQL, Python, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
• Digital Transformation: Direct experience with technology implementation and digital transformation projects, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
• Legal Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the legal contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and renewal. Experience with contract law is essential.
• Legal Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms (e.g., Ironclad), e-signature tools, and database management.
