About the role

NYGC Services, Inc.' is seeking an experienced SQL Database Developer to join our growing team in Manila. This is a full-time position that will allow you to work on innovative projects and contribute to the company's continued success.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL databases to support business applications
  • Create and optimise database queries, views, stored procedures, and functions to improve performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring data integrity and availability
  • Implement best practices for database security, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Continuously monitor and optimise database performance, implementing scalable solutions as needed
  • Document database designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a SQL Database Developer or in a similar role
  • Proficient in SQL, including advanced techniques such as stored procedures, triggers, and optimisation
  • Hands-on experience with database management tools (e.g. SQL Server Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with database design principles, including normalisation, data modelling, and performance tuning
  • Experience with database backup, recovery, and security best practices
