ROLE OVERVIEW

The Project Evaluation Officer (Railway Engineer) under the Office of the Undersecretary for Railways and is responsible for the following:

  1. Monitor progress against milestones and report any delays or issues to senior team members regarding Operations Control Center/Architecture Design & Ergonomics (OCC/AD&E). Track and update schedule regularly to ensure adherence to timelines. Assist in developing strategies to mitigate schedule unconventionalities.

  2. Participate in quality control inspections to ensure that OCC/AD&E meets industry standards and project specifications. Help in implementing quality assurance processes and procedures. Collate inspection reports and assist in addressing non-conformance issues and tracking corrective actions.

  3. Assist in facilitating communication between various project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. Attend project meetings and document discussions, action items, and decisions. Provide timely responses to inquiries and requests for information.

  4. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, and correspondence. Ensure that all OCC/AD&E documentation is organized and accessible.

  5. Identify issues or challenges related to OCC/AD&E and collaborate with the team to find solutions. Escalate significant problems to senior team members as necessary.

  6. Perform other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Railway Engineering

  • Safety Officer Certification (preferred but not required)

  • No minimum required work experience for entry-level positions (actual position level will be determined by qualifications and assessment results)
