Overview

The Accounting Team Lead oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. This role combines technical accounting expertise with leadership responsibilities to guide a team toward achieving organizational financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the accounting team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations such as accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Review and approve journal entries, financial statements, and budget reports.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA
  • 4-5 years of accounting experience
  • with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
