  • Undertake engineering, technical analysis, and report generation tasks as required.
  • Ensure technical/engineering designs meet required standards, specifications, and client quality policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in tender preparation and project management activities as needed.
  • Assistance with commissioning of HV systems as required.
  • Design, specify, and document detailed substation primary systems; conduct engineering and technical analysis and report generation; design earthing systems; perform insulation coordination and electro-magnetic studies; scope primary plant and electrical equipment and fittings.
  • Create appropriate technical documentation as required; conduct FAT as required; assist with maintenance and fault finding of installations, carry out systems studies and power systems analyses as required; pre-commissioning and commissioning of new and refurbished equipment and systems where required.
  • Demonstrate turnkey project expertise in transmission and distribution substation design from concept to commissioning, including knowledge of industry and different client standards.
  • Have significant experience in substation primary design.
  • Demonstrate experience in design, including evidence of large project involvement and the ability to lead designs.
  • Have 7 to 10 years' experience at a senior level with substation design and/or utility grid connections.
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or equivalent.
