Underwriting/Claims Assistant

Position Summary:
Supports the Branch Head in delivering efficient, timely, and high-quality underwriting and claims services to clients, agents, brokers, and representatives in line with company standards. Ensures accurate documentation, effective claims processing, and client satisfaction through proactive support and coordination.
Essential Functions:
- Receives and processes underwriting and claims inquiries, providing accurate assistance to clients, agents, and brokers.
- Conducts unit inspections, damage evaluations, and takes photographic documentation for claims assessment.
- Canvasses and coordinates parts requirements for repair in support of accurate claims settlements.
- Maintains organized records of claims documents for tracking and audit purposes.
- Provides timely updates and reports on claims concerns to the Branch Head or immediate superior.
- Assists in processing and settling claims within the branch's authority limits.
- Coordinates with Head Office to follow up on claims status and ensure timely resolution.
- Handles administrative support such as drafting correspondence, filing, and client follow-ups as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate of any Business-related course, preferably in Insurance, Finance, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in claims processing, insurance underwriting, or related administrative support.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; customer-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and basic office equipment.
