Job Summary:

The CAD Operator – MEPFS is responsible for preparing, updating, and revising detailed engineering drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Sanitary systems. The role ensures that designs are accurate, aligned with project specifications, and coordinated with other trades to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and develop 2D/3D CAD drawings and layouts for MEPFS systems based on engineers' design and project requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
  • Assist in design coordination by overlaying drawings to detect and resolve potential clashes among different disciplines.
  • Update and revise drawings as per site instructions, design changes, and engineers' feedback.
  • Maintain organized drawing files (soft and hard copies) for easy reference and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other CAD operators to ensure consistency across project drawings.
  • Support project teams by providing detailed drawings for site implementation.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company CAD standards and project specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
  • Proven experience as CAD Operator/Draftsman in MEPFS works (construction industry experience preferred).
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP (preferred), and other drafting software.
  • Strong knowledge of MEPFS systems and construction drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of BIM/Revit MEP is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and practices in MEPFS design.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
