Software Developer (DevOps Specialist)

Job Summary

The Software Developer with DevOps expertise will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining scalable web and mobile applications supported by automated CI/CD pipelines and containerized infrastructure. This role merges strong software engineering capabilities with modern DevOps methodologies, cloud management, and database administration to ensure applications are reliable, secure, and high-performing throughout their entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Software Design & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain web and mobile applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Flutter, React Native, .NET, ).
• Build RESTful or GraphQL APIs for efficient system integration.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry standards and design principles (SOLID, DRY, design patterns).

2. DevOps & Automation

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Oversee deployment processes across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
• Automate testing, deployment, and rollback procedures for continuous delivery.

3. Containerization & Cloud Management

• Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Deploy and maintain applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or DigitalOcean).
• Improve scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency through optimized container and cluster configurations.

4. Database Management

• Design, implement, and manage relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Firebase, Redis).
• Perform database optimization, backup, recovery, and enforce data integrity and security.
• Create and fine-tune stored procedures, triggers, and ETL processes for seamless data integration.

5. System Integration & Security

• Integrate internal and third-party services, including APIs and payment gateways.
• Apply robust security measures such as OAuth2, JWT, SSL/TLS, and role-based access control.
• Conduct code reviews, perform vulnerability assessments, and apply security patches as needed.

6. Monitoring & Maintenance

• Set up and maintain monitoring systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure system reliability.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation, including configuration and deployment guides.

7. Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Product Owners, and UI/UX Designers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, technical design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building and deploying web and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Experience in database management and data pipeline development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Optional (Nice to Have)

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration or serverless computing.
