Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Quality Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive
    Mechanical Quality Management Systems (QMS)
    aligned with project requirements, client standards, and industry codes.
  • Maintain QA/QC procedures and documentation for mechanical systems in sewerage treatment plants (STPs).
  • Ensure mechanical works meet design specifications and standards before acceptance.

Inspections & Audits

  • Conduct regular
    site inspections and audits
    of mechanical installations, equipment, and system components in STPs.
  • Identify non-conformance issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Monitor workmanship and installation practices to ensure compliance with mechanical codes and project specifications.

Mechanical Testing & Quality Control

  • Coordinate and supervise mechanical testing of equipment, pumps, valves, blowers, mixers, screens, conveyors, and other STP components.
  • Ensure testing and commissioning activities are executed per project standards.
  • Evaluate test results and ensure proper documentation.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare
    quality reports, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
    .
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and test results.
  • Submit reports to Project Manager and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

Supplier & Contractor Coordination

  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with mechanical quality standards.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to verify quality of supplied equipment and materials.
  • Recommend corrective actions or supplier replacements if quality standards are not met.

Other Duties

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in QA/QC procedures.
  • Coordinate with project teams, regulatory authorities, and clients regarding mechanical QA/QC matters.
  • Perform other tasks as required to ensure overall quality compliance of the project.

Job Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Advanced degrees or QA/QC certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    5–7 years in QA/QC in sewerage/wastewater treatment construction projects, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Mechanical systems in STPs: pumps, valves, blowers, mixers, screens, conveyors
  • Knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations relevant to wastewater treatment
  • Technical Skills:
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and testing per project specifications
  • Proficient in QA/QC documentation, reporting, and non-conformance tracking
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordination with contractors, suppliers, and clients
