Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiative: Lead efforts to identify, analyze, and implement improvements to the production process, focusing on reducing waste, enhancing efficiency, and increasing overall productivity and compliance with system requirements.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead systematic investigations into production issues or inefficiencies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, focusing on long-term process stability.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles: Champion the application of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping). Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data-driven analysis to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize Process Performance: Collaborate with production teams and other departments to reduce downtime, resolve quality issues, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through techniques like line balancing.
  • Enhance Equipment Efficiency: Authorized to appraise/evaluate Production Line Leader performance and recommend hiring and staffing for the section.
  • Facilitate Cross-functional Improvement Projects: Work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to identify and solve operational challenges, leveraging both RCA findings and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Graduate of Electronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the plastic industry in a manufacturing set-up.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing procedures and failure analysis.
  • Superior mental and analytical ability and problem-solving techniques.
  • Proficiency in FMEA, 7QC tools, 8D, Kaizen, and SPC.
  • Ability to conduct basic time and motion studies.

Minimum Training Required: ISO 9001:2015, Root Cause Analysis / 8D / 7QC tools, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
