Our company, Sichu Malatang, is the first to bring authentic Szechuan malatang to the

Filipino yuppies, foodies, and mallgoers in the Philippines. We serve a unique hotpot

experience personalized to each one's food preferences, with each bowl weighed and paid

according to your cravings. In 2019, Sichu Malatang opened its first store in Double Dragon

Meridian Park and instantly became a hit to the Chinese market. Sichu eventually adopted a

more localized approach in marketing, social media content and store design, while

maintaining a modern Chinese ambiance. We also added new cooking techniques and now

offer three choices - Hotpot, Drypot and Mixpot, all cooked in-store by our Chinese Chefs. It

is served fast by the bowl so that you can enjoy your hotpot noodles on a quick lunch break

or on a casual dinner with friends and work colleagues.

I. JOB OVERVIEW:

The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling all customer payments, accurately processing food and beverage orders, and ensuring excellent service at the counter. This role plays a vital part in delivering a positive dining experience by coordinating with kitchen and service staff, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth cash register operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Processing and Transactions

• Take and confirm customer orders for dine-in, takeout, or delivery.
• Accurately process payments via cash, credit/debit card, mobile payments, or vouchers.
• Issue official receipts and ensure proper recording of sales.
• Provide correct change and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.

2. Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and courteously upon ordering and payment.
• Assist customers with menu inquiries, promotions, or ongoing deals.
• Address customer concerns promptly or escalate issues to the supervisor/manager.
• Coordinate with service crew and kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

3. Store and Cashier Station Maintenance

• Keep the cashier counter, POS machine, and work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Monitor availability of takeaway packaging, receipts, and promotional materials.
• Assist in maintaining restaurant cleanliness and organization during non-peak hours.

4. Compliance and Reporting

• Follow company standards and procedures for cash handling, voids, discounts, and refunds.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports, cash count sheets, and deposit slips.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and company service standards.
• Safeguard company assets by reporting discrepancies or unusual transactions.

Qualifications

• Education: At least High School Graduate; College level or equivalent training is an advantage.
• Experience: Prior experience as a cashier, service crew, or in customer service within a restaurant or retail setting is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in basic math and POS operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Conditions

• Requires standing for extended periods and frequent interaction with customers.
• May involve rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday schedules.
• Work environment is primarily in a restaurant with exposure to food service operations.
