Cardiac Sonographer

A. JOB SUMMARY

1. Assist in the following procedures:

   • Exercises Stress Echocardiogram (ESE)

   • Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram (DSE)

   • Trans Esophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)

   • Intra Operative Trans Esophageal Echocardiogram (IO-TEE)

2. Assist Pedia-Cardiologist in performing 2DEchocardiogram on pediatric patients.

3. Assist Readers on deck (Cardiologist and Vascular Doctors) in reading their respective Procedures.

4. Gather patient's data pertinent to the procedure.

5. Encode and release patients result.

6. Charge patients procedure and supplies.

7. Oversee traffic flow of patient for examination to insure smooth operation.

8. Discuss with the Manager/Head regarding the unit's problem(s) and its possible solutions.

9. Answers inquiries from patients in person or thru telephone.

10. Cover/Man the reception area.

11. Help maintain stocks and supplies/materials needed for the day to day operation.

12. Set an example to other staff with regards to professional conduct and courtesy to patients, doctors and visitors.

13. Keep track of preventive maintenance of the different machines and equipment in the unit.

14. Attend employees meetings and seminars.

15. Attend unit meetings and lectures.

16. Attend continuing education programs and cascade the information.

17. Maintain order and cleanliness of the unit.

18. Performs other duties and responsibilities or task as assigned by unit manager.

• Electrocardiogram (ECG)

• 2DEchocardiogram with Color Flow Doppler Studies (2DED)

• Treadmill Stress Test (TST)

• 24/48 Hour Holter Monitoring

• 24 Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring

• Treadmill Stress Echocardiogram (TSE)

• Dobutamine Stress Echo (DSE)

• Assist in Trans Esophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)

• Assist in Intra Operative Trans Esophageal Echocardiogram (IO-TEE)

• Echo guided PTMC and Pericardiocentesis

D. QUALIFICATION

• BS Medical Technology or any related medical course

• Board Certified (PRC 1080)

• At least one(1) year' experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist

• BLS and ACLS Certified

E. TRAINING/SKILL NEEDED

• Educated in Cardiovascular methods and techniques

• With training in EKG and 2D Echocardiography technology
