Job Summary:

The Credit Underwriter should establish credit facilities for Institutional Banking accounts to support the group's origination activities. He/she shall prepare timely, accurate and quality credit memos and ensure compliance with credit policies, bank policies, including credit, documentation, operational, and regulatory. He should perform in-depth financial analysis and evaluation of corporate and commercial accounts and assess the account viability and provide appropriate and sound recommendation.

Educational and Professional Background:

  • College graduate preferably major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or similar discipline.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, financial analysis/modeling and projections gained from a financial institution
  • Auditing background a plus but not required

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Highly analytical, detail oriented, exceptional financial acumen and ethics during the credit evaluation process.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting theories, credit principles, lending functions, loan research and general credit policies.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and with meticulous work habits to accurately evaluate many financial variables and reach appropriate conclusions.
