The Sr. Media Relations Executive is responsible for supporting account deliverables and achieving media-related key performance indicators. This role involves media outreach, account management, handling of media databases, and more.

Responsibilities:

Media Management

  • Builds and sustains media connections through media engagements, roundtable discussions, and events.
  • Build relationships with key media contacts and identify opportunities to proactively pitch brand and corporate stories through social media outlets as appropriate.
  • Develops pitch letters and distributes client-approved press releases to targeted media.
  • Maintains publicity trackers and coverage reports with media values, pick-up quality, and media-related insights for post-event analysis.

Account Management

  • Manage day-to-day media relations/media requests for brand and corporate issues.
  • Attends client meetings, prepares presentations, and provides media-related data.
  • Conducts research on clients, brands, and industries to gather relevant data for media strategy.
  • Provides support for editorial materials, including comments on press releases, talk points, feature stories, and other media executions.
  • Identifies target media and coordinates media invitations for engagements and publicity efforts.
  • Monitors progress on deliverables, addressing media concerns, publicity issues, and shifts in the media landscape.
  • Engages with suppliers for logistical support and media-related needs.

Administrative Tasks

  • Develops a media engagement plan to maintain relationships with media, including agency-hosted media events.
  • Updates the media database with contact details, roles, publications, and profiles.
  • Keeps track of the MR team's finances, schedules, and other activities for annual gift-giving and media parties.
  • Attends weekly meetings with MR and PR teams.
