School Nurse

The School Nurse promotes the health and well-being of students and staff by providing preventive health services, managing chronic and acute illnesses, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Health Services
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff for illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policy.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with the Data Privacy Act.
- Perform health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, BMI, etc.) and refer students as necessary.
2. Health Education & Promotion
- Educate students, parents, and staff about health topics such as hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and disease prevention.
- Promote a healthy school environment through wellness initiatives and preventive programs.
3. Case Management
4. Emergency Response
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and crisis response planning.
5. Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Prepare and submit health reports as required by local and state health departments.
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Nursing License (PRC)
- Nursing experience is an advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development, health promotion, and public health principles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20, Php28,000.00 per month
