Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse/logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack products and materials within the warehouse or production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack, etc.) safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, or pallets.
  • Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
  • Stack and organize materials in a manner that is safe and accessible.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance or safety issues.
  • Ensure accurate inventory handling by scanning or labeling items correctly.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Work with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of material movement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience operating forklifts and reach trucks with handle/joystick controls.
  • Valid and up-to-date forklift and/or reach truck certification/license (as required by local regulations).
  • Strong knowledge of operating reach trucks in narrow aisle environments.
  • Familiarity with handle-controlled (tiller or joystick) reach trucks is required.
  • Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and material handling protocols.
  • Ability to perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues.
  • Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items as needed.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and documentation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
