Hello.

My name is Dustin, and I am the founder of Marketing Done Right. We are a US-based digital marketing agency specializing in SEO, website construction, Google Ads, and Facebook lead generation. We have been operating successfully for 6 years.

We are looking to hire a content editor fast. This person will also serve as the team leader of our Writing Team. We're looking for someone who has developed strong writing skills pre-AI and can transfer these skills to our writers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Content Editing: Edit web page copies and blog posts for accuracy, search optimization, brand voice, and grammar. You will specifically be responsible for our high-priority clients and high-expectation clients.
Mentoring: Provide writers and junior editors with constructive feedback to elevate the writing quality at the individual level.
Work Management: Manage content writing and editing tasks to meet deadlines without compromising writing quality.
Team Alignment & Training: Ensure the writing team is aligned on style guidelines, SEO best practices, and content strategy through regular meetings, training sessions, and documentation.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Support the SEO Team and the Ideation Team in developing content briefs aligned with our SEO objectives and client preferences.
Team Advocacy: Represent the writing team in meetings with the management and your fellow team leaders. You must be confident holding your own, articulating team needs, and contributing to strategic discussions.

Nonnegotiable Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in content editing
Minimum 1 year of experience as a senior editor, content team leader, or manager
Advanced understanding of SEO content writing best practices
Experience in ideation/content brief development
Strong communication skills. You must be confident leading meetings. You must also be unflinching in setting expectations, holding teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and peers accountable, and having difficult conversations with professionalism.
Strong organization skills. You will be managing your teaUpgrade to see actual infombers' workload on top of your own.
Team player

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
Experience writing about home improvement services, health and medicine, and technology
Some familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and Semrush
Some familiarity with content management systems
