Procurement Assistant

The Procurement Assistant supports the Procurement Department in sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring goods and services required by the organization. This role ensures accurate documentation, timely processing of purchase requests, and coordination with suppliers while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing Purchase Requests (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding procurement requirements and specifications
  • Source quotations from accredited suppliers and prepare comparative analysis
  • Monitor delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and documenting delivered items against purchase orders
  • Assist in inventory monitoring and reconciliation, when required
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards
  • Perform other procurement-related administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative support (fresh graduates may be considered)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
