The KYC Supervisor oversees daily KYC operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and periodic reviews in compliance with BSP regulations, AMLA, and internal policies. The role supervises KYC analysts, maintains quality standards, and supports a strong AML/CFT control environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

KYC Operations & Compliance
  • Supervise the execution of customer onboarding, periodic reviews, and account updates for individual and corporate clients.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of KYC documentation in line with BSP, AMLA, and internal policies.
  • Review and approve KYC files, including CDD, EDD, and high-risk customer assessments.
  • Monitor adherence to risk-based KYC procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Ensure proper identification, verification, and risk rating of customers.
Team Supervision & Quality Control
  • Lead, coach, and mentor KYC Analysts to ensure productivity and compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and file reviews to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Assign workloads, track performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Provide guidance on complex cases, including PEPs, high-risk customers, and unusual structures.
Regulatory & Audit Support
  • Assist in preparing for BSP, AMLC, PDIC, and internal/external audits by ensuring KYC records are audit-ready.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, AML, and other departments to respond to audit and regulatory inquiries.
  • Support remediation activities arising from audit findings and regulatory observations.
Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Prepare and submit KYC-related reports, metrics, and exception logs to management.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance KYC turnaround time and quality.
  • Support updates to KYC policies, procedures, and templates as regulations evolve.
Stakeholder Coordination
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Operations, IT, and Compliance teams to resolve KYC issues.
  • Act as a point of escalation for KYC-related concerns and exceptions.
