The Housekeeping / Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and preparing guest rooms and assigned areas to meet the hotel's cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards. The position plays a vital role in ensuring guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction by providing a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment at all times.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Clean and service guest rooms according to established housekeeping standards and procedures.
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace used towels and guest amenities.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and floors.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and room accessories; vacuum carpets and mop floors as required.
  • Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged, presentable, and ready for occupancy.
  • Inspect rooms for cleanliness, damages, or missing items and report concerns to the supervisor immediately.
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables from guest rooms and assigned areas.
  • Handle, collect, and transport soiled linens and towels to the designated laundry area.
  • Replenish housekeeping carts with linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  • Follow health, safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times while performing duties.

Requirement / Qualifications:

  • At least a High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • With prior experience as a Housekeeping or Room Attendant in a hotel is an advantage, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties that require standing, bending, lifting, pushing carts, and walking for long periods.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and peak hotel occupancy periods.
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping standards, room cleaning procedures, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow VS Hotel housekeeping policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Maintains good personal hygiene, proper grooming, and a neat appearance at all times.
  • Possesses basic communication skills and can interact politely and professionally with guests and co-workers.
  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy, with respect for guest privacy and hotel property.
  • Willing to comply with company rules, safety regulations, and the Code of Conduct of VS Hotel.

Job Type: Full-time
