About the role

Wintex Logistics Corp. is seeking a talented General Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial accounting and reporting. Based in our Bonifacio Global City office in Taguig City, Metro Manila, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and supporting the overall strategic objectives of the business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and reviewing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  2. Maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring proper recording of all financial transactions
  3. Performing reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial analyses
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient accounting practices

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification
  3. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar general accounting role, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry
  4. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, methods, and procedures
  5. Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate financial information effectively
  8. Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy of financial data
