SUMMARY

The Financial Accountantwill play a vital role in managing the company's financial operations, contributing to both day-to-day accounting tasks and strategic projects. This role involves preparing accurate financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting project accounting initiatives. The Financial Accountant will collaborate with various stakeholders, including department managers, assistant managers, and the Finance Director, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with company policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations of accounts and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
  • Conduct monthly General Ledger (GL) analysis for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage project accounting, including monitoring budgets and liaising with project managers.
  • Prepare month-end Capex and Fixed Assets reconciliations.
  • Oversee bank reconciliation entries and address mismatched transactions.
  • Support the financial controller and assist in internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting standards and contribute to process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within a high-volume, multi-location international organization.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and their practical application.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and Microsoft D365 (preferred).
  • Familiarity with project accounting processes (advantageous).
